Culture
The present-day Church of Saint Ladislaus is at the centre of the local architectural history. It was built in 1678 on older foundations and remodelled into its present form in 1936–1937. The building has a single nave and a presbytery with a straight-ended termination.
The original presbytery now serves as a side chapel. Its altar is Neoclassical and bears a painting of Saint Ladislaus from the second half of the 18th century. The historic buildings also include the parish house in Veľká Paka. It has an L-shaped floor plan and probably dates from the early 19th century.
Smaller monuments also point to the history of the surrounding area. The Božie muky image shrine between ÄŒukárska Paka and Kvetoslavov is already shown on a military map from 1763. The PrÃcestný kamenný krÞ stone wayside cross was erected in 1883 in honour of the parish priest József PergÅ‘, restored in 2023 and blessed on 28 March 2024.
KÉP DOMB is an archaeological focal point. The burial mound dates from the older Iron Age and belongs to the Kalenderberg culture of the 8th to 5th centuries BC. In 2017, KÉP DOMB was declared a National Cultural Monument. It is also one of the few surviving prehistoric burial mounds above ground level in the lowland areas of Slovakia.
