Culture

The Soseska zidanica Drašiči is registered as living Slovenian cultural heritage and is open to visitors. The Drašiči Quest is a wine experience. During the Drašiči Quest, the cultural heritage of Bela krajina, especially its wine traditions, is conveyed through puzzles. It includes a platter of local cured meats and cheese; there is also an opportunity to bake traditional Bela krajina flatbread yourself.

Routes

The circular “Pohod po poteh Soseske zidanice Drašiči” route is 11.5 km long. In autumn, the residents of Drašiči organise a traditional hike on the first Saturday after St Martin’s Day along the paths of the village vineyard cottage. On the village vineyard cottage route, which is also 11.5 km long, hikers stop at several stations to taste fine wines and traditional homemade specialities prepared by local residents.

The “Vidošiči Cycle Route” passes through Drašiči. The 217-kilometre Obkolpski brevet passes through Drašiči on its final section from Metlika to Semič; it can be ridden as an organised event or independently. The “Vidošiči Cycle Route” also mentions the hiking trail “Along the trails of the Communal Vineyard Cottage of Drašiči”.

Landscape

The Church of St Anne in Vidošiči stands on a hill above the village and is surrounded by vineyards. It offers a beautiful viewpoint all year round.

The branch church of St Peter is located in the centre of Drašiči; the Church of St Peter stands opposite the Drašiči Village Vineyard Cottage and dates from 1773.
