The peaks of the Carpathians are covered with snow for about 5 months during the year. Virtually, in any place of the Carpathian Mountains you can find an opportunity for skiing because ski lodges, sanatoriums and rest homes are built in the areas suitable for skiing and snowboarding.
For those who like extreme sports there is the opportunity to explore the Carpathians by different ways: by walking, biking, on jeeps, or on horseback.
