Ural - is an indigenously Russian land. The Urals divide Central Russia form Siberia, and Europe from Asia. For tourists Ural is attractive due to its unique geographical location, diversity of natural landscapes, numerous monuments, temples and symbolic historical places.
There are many unique monuments in the Ural region and in its center - the city of Yekaterinburg. The most famous monuments, which indicate the last days of the Romanov imperial family, are Ipatiev House and Monastery in Ganina Yama, where, according to the suppositions of historians, the royal family was executed.
The most famous natural attractions of Ural are Uveldy Lake, river Chusovaya, Kungur ice caves, mineral springs in Obukhovo, Ilmensky and Turgojak reserves and mount Talkov Stone. Ural is an excellent location for ecotourism. Here you will be able to make an ascent to the Urals’ peaks, to have a picnic at the highest point of the Urals, and to test the strength of rafting on the river Chusovaya. Also there are numerous ski resorts in the Urals.
Ural is a region with a well-developed tourist infrastructure. There are regular flights from Moscow to Yekaterinburg (2-hour flight), as well as direct flights from major European and world cuontries - Germany, France, UK and USA. Yekaterinburg offers the tourists a full range of tourist services and entertainment: hotels of any level, flexible banking system (traveler’s cheques Thomas Cook and American Express), various theaters, a casino and the largest in Russia Bowling Center Luna 2000.
