Peshtan on the Vjosa: Nature, Churches and War History

Peshtan lies on the left bank of the Vjosa, where the Zagori River flows into the Vjosa. From the lower reaches of the river, the village provides access to the Zagori Valley. Crystal-clear springs flow through gorges and narrow valleys, shaping the landscape around Peshtan. Green hills and peaceful nature surround the village. In the wider regional area around Peshtan lies the Këlcyrë Gorge. It is considered a rare natural monument and is approximately 13 kilometers long.
