The Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God in Dory was built in 1997. Following reconstruction, it was consecrated on June 28, 2026. The Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God is located in Dory in the Volozhin District of Minsk Oblast.

The former church in Dory had a floor plan in the shape of an elongated cross, a bell tower with a gabled façade, and an open dome. It also had a single-nave iconostasis with 13 icons in a row. The former church in Dory was repaired in 1866 and 1874.

History

The memorial site in Dory comprises the excavated and raised remains of the former church. A memorial plaque is mounted on the exposed foundation. The names of the victims are listed on a stele whose base serves as a support for bronze mourning wreaths.

The four-meter-high sculptures of mourning women at the memorial symbolize the grief of mothers, the grief of widows, and female grief in general. At the historic site known as “церковище” near Dory, stone foundations, cellars, and traces of ponds and cemeteries could be seen.

The “Volozhin Gostintsy” cycling route runs through Dory. Gora Petukhova Hill is located in the vicinity of Dory. The hills Gora Mayak, Gora Perekop, and Gora Zhuravlinaya are located in the wider regional surroundings of Dory.
