Lake Blidinje is the largest natural lake in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a geomorphological natural monument. It lies between the Vran and Čvrsnica mountains at the bottom of Dugo polje, at an altitude of 1,184 meters.

Blidinje Nature Park encompasses the Čvrsnica and Vran mountain ranges and was officially declared a nature park on March 30, 1995. It is home to around 1,500 plant species, including numerous endemic and rare species, as well as the largest population of the endemic Bosnian pine Munika.

Koćuša Waterfall is located in Veljaci in the municipality of Ljubuški. It is 5 meters high and 50 meters long; historic mills and stamping mills are located in its immediate vicinity.

Culture and history

The Humac Museum in the Franciscan Monastery of St. Anthony of Padua in Humac houses the Humačka ploča from the 12th century, considered the oldest surviving monument written in Croatian in present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The fortress “STARI GRAD U LJUBUŠKOM” was declared a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina in October 2003.
