Bansko: Hotels and accommodations

The marked Pirin Trail III runs from Bansko via Peshterite, Banderitsa Hut, and Vihren Hut to Yane Sandanski Hut. Pirin National Park is also home to Baykusheva Mura, which is more than 1,300 years old and is considered one of Bulgaria’s oldest trees.

The Bansko ski area has more than 75 kilometers of professionally groomed slopes. It is located on the northern slopes of the Pirin Mountains and offers conditions for beginners and advanced skiers in skiing and snowboarding. A ski road approximately seven kilometers long connects the upper part of the Bansko ski area with the town.

The Velyan House is a fortified 18th-century house with frescoes, wood-carved decorations, thick stone walls, underground hiding places, and loopholes. The Radonova House displays archaeological finds dating from the Thracian period through antiquity to the Middle Ages, including ceramics, coins, glass, jewelry, and preserved vessels. It also presents an ethnographic exhibition on the local material culture, featuring household items, tools, everyday and festive costumes, jewelry, and colorful textiles.
