Hadzhidimovo: Hotels and Accommodation

The monastery's Church of St. George is a three-nave pseudo-basilica with a semicircular apse, a western narthex, a separate chapel and a tall bell tower. The Hadzhidimovo monastery complex also includes the Chapel of St. Dimitar, residential and utility buildings, a well-maintained courtyard and an old plane tree.

The Hadzhidimovo Monastery is designated as a Christian cultural heritage temple with year-round function. The Chapel of St. Dimitar is associated with participation in community festivals. At the St. Dimitar Fortress, visitors can see remains including fortifications, towers for siege machines and arsenal towers, as well as the foundations of a church.

For the proposed access to the Chapel of St. Dimitar and Hadzhidimovo Monastery, the existing BLG3336/BLG1330 and BLG3337/BLG1330 roads are intended for bicycles, cars and pedestrians.

Geotope 2 Route can be explored on foot or by bicycle.

Geotope 2 Route offers opportunities to observe interesting and protected plant species. A birdwatching site is located at a bend in the Mesta River in the St. Dimitar area.

At the Hadzhidimovo Zoo Corner, visitors can observe regional species including roe deer, red deer, hare, wild goat, Karakachan horse, squirrel, turtle dove and goose. Non-native species include peacocks, swans, a pony, a South American alpaca and a small grey kangaroo from Australia.

The Hadzhidimovo Zoo Corner also allows visitors to observe animals and birds up close as they move among the trees and along the park paths.
