Hija Slavyanka is the final point of the E4 on Bulgarian territory. The route through the Southern Pirin to the Papazchair Saddle takes about six hours, is marked in red, and forms part of the E4. From the hut to Izvora Hut, the route takes about three hours and leads 15.5 km west; Golyam Tsarev Vrah is about three and a half hours away. The upper section of this route is at risk of avalanches in winter. It passes through beech forest, stands of black pine, and black mulberry forest before reaching the main ridge north of Tsari Vrah at 2,183 m.

Hija Slavyanka has a stated total capacity of 66 places. It also offers paintball, children's attractions, a play area for toddlers, and a football pitch.
