The Chukata site south of Kolarovo contains remains from the Roman, medieval, and Ottoman periods, including a medieval fortress. Locals gather there on the second day of Easter. Kolarovo’s church and village festival is celebrated on Dimitrovden, October 26.
Kolarovo has bus connections to Petrich and neighboring villages in the Belasitsa area.
