Nature

Ovtcharci-Goritza Waterfall has a drop of 39 meters and was declared a protected area in 1965. The Seven Rila Lakes are glacial lakes situated in tiers within a large cirque in the northwestern Rila Mountains. Their elevation ranges from 2,095 to 2,535 meters.

The Skakavitsa Reserve was designated as a reserve in 1968.
