The Benkovska Cave–Chertigrad eco-trail is approximately 4 kilometers long and has a stated duration of two and a half hours. Both trail names refer to Benkovska Cave; the longer trail is additionally connected with Chertigrad.
Culture
The Chertigrad trail reveals the remains of the ancient Thracian fortress of Chertigrad and offers panoramic views toward the Stara Planina. Benkovska Cave is connected with the April Uprising of 1876 through the history of Georgi Benkovski and the local resident Neyo Kracunov.
The museum in Cherni Vit displays a copy of Flag No. 9 of Georgi Benkovski’s Flying Company. A historical reenactment also takes place every year at the end of May at the Neyo Kracunov Monument.

Tcherni Vit green cheese is produced exclusively in Cherni Vit and the surrounding municipalities. The Tetevan is described as a rustic local sheep breed associated with the traditional production of Tcherni Vit green cheese.
