Nature

The city park of Varshets stretches from the town center to the foothills of the Balkan Mountains. Its well-maintained paths are more than 7 km long in total and designed for sports and health activities. Varshets also has an artificial park covering 800 decares, described as the second-largest artificial park in Bulgaria.

The mineral water of Varshets is hyperthermal and has a temperature of 38 °C, a pH value of 8.4, and a total mineralization of 0.19 g/l.

Culture

The Varshets History Museum comprises four departments: antiquity, archaeological finds and coins, balneology, and ethnography.

The Old Mineral Bath opened in 1910 and was Bulgaria's first mineral bath; it was built in the style of the baths in Baden-Baden. The Bath Casino was built in 1922 and is known as the Royal Casino. The Sunny Garden was built in 1934 and features sunray-shaped avenues made of stone that reflects sunlight.

Surroundings

Zeleni del is located 10 km southwest of Varshets. The village is a starting point for climbing Todorini Kukli and is suitable for picnics, excursions, and camping.

Orientation

The New Mineral Bath opened in 1930 and is still in operation. The Varshets Tourist Information Center provides information about sports, balneotherapy, tourism, and entertainment. It also offers bicycles, tents, fishing rods, and mountain guides for rent.
