Gorochevtsi: Hotels and Accommodation

Gorochevtsi is a starting point for trails through the mountain landscape. The Gorochevtsi–Plocha hike begins in the village’s central square. Along the Plocha trail, there are signs at important points, although no band marking is present. The only water source described along the route is an outlet near the beginning, behind the last houses of Gorochevtsi. Culture

The St. Iliya site near Gorochevtsi includes an ancient necropolis, a sanctuary, and a settlement. Above Poishte and Popov Dol, the Belstitsa site is recorded as a settlement from antiquity and the Middle Ages. The Church of St. Iliya has existed since the second half of the 19th century. It stands directly outside Gorochevtsi in a monastery-like setting and not in the village center.

Nature

Highlights along the Plocha trail include the Rovinite formations, small sand pyramids. Mala Kurovitsa offers panoramic views, and the summit of Plocha also provides a panoramic view. The route to Golemi Vrah is marked in red. From Golemi Vrah, the panorama extends 360 degrees toward numerous mountains.

The Gorochevtsi complex includes a playground and areas for outdoor recreation. There is also a restaurant there. The complex comprises three houses and three apartments.
