Chayka: Hotels and Accommodation

The southern side of Chayka offers both a panorama of the Kamchia River Valley and a view towards the Tzonevo Reservoir. The Provadia–Aitos Road lies approximately 3 km west-northwest of Chayka.

The Kanarata area is located approximately 2 km northeast of Chayka. The remains of an ancient fortress and a rock hermitage with four cells are located there. A large natural cave forms the main chamber of the hermitage.

The Church of St Trinity in Chayka has three naves; this architectural form is described as exceptionally rare in Bulgarian villages. Construction began on 15 May 1932.

The Historical Museum in Provadia preserves more than 1,500 prehistoric objects connected with the surrounding region. It also presents the traditional folk culture of the region from the mid-18th century to the first half of the 20th century.

More than 100 Hellenistic, Thracian and Thracian-Roman settlements, sanctuaries and necropolises, as well as approximately 200 Thracian burial mounds, are recorded in the Provadia area.

Provadia-Solnitsata is Europe's oldest salt production center.

The Provadia Tourist Information Center provides information about archaeological, historical and natural attractions, develops municipal tourist routes, and organizes nature picnics, church visits, folklore events, and tastings of local food and drinks.

At Shashkanite, the first five cells can be reached via a steel suspension bridge; alpine equipment is required for the remaining cells.
