Miykovtsi: Hotels and Accommodation

Miykovtsi is a destination for travelers who want to book a hotel. The Miykovtsi–Chumerna Hut–Chumerna Peak route is listed as one of the marked and maintained hiking routes.

Hiking and Nature

The starting point of Route No. 1 is located in one of at least two parking areas on Miykovtsi’s main road, specifically the one on the western side. As a mountain biking route, it climbs from Miykovtsi to Chumerna Hut and returns along a steep, technical trail.

A hiking route from Miykovtsi to Chumerna Hut and Chumerna Peak takes about four hours; another hiking route from Miykovtsi to Bukovets Hut takes about two and a half hours. Chumerna Peak is 1,536 meters high and lies on the hiking route from Miykovtsi, 30 minutes beyond Chumerna Hut.

The hiking route initially follows a gravel road along the Boroshtitsa River. After the initial gravel section, it leads into the forest and becomes steeper along mountain ridges. After about an hour and a half, it passes a meadow with a hunting tower and a feeding station. The area around Miykovtsi contains numerous wild herbs and mushrooms.

Immediately before Miykovtsi, south of the town sign, there are rest areas on the banks of the Borushchitsa River with benches, tables, and barbecue facilities. The Borushchitsa River near Miykovtsi can be used for swimming in summer.

Activities

Miykovtsi has a small ski slope with a ski lift and a ski cloakroom. Miykovtsi also hosts children's camps and Green School programs.

Culture

Miykovtsi is home to the stone-built Church of Saint Michael the Archangel, which was built in 1894.
