History
A memorial cross in Gornji Vaganac commemorates the people killed in the Croatian War of Independence. Kukuruzovićeva gradina i pećina is identified as an ancient settlement, specifically dating from the 1st to the 2nd century. In Gornji Vaganac, it is listed with the existing protection status E.
The origins of the Vaganac parish date back to the end of the 18th century. In the nearby area, the parish church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Vaganac was built by 1810.
