Korenica: Hotels and Accommodation

The Church of Saints Michael and Gabriel in Korenica is registered in Croatia as a preventive-protected cultural asset. It is also recognized as immovable cultural heritage.

The Mrsinj Grad hike climbs from Korenica to the ruins of the Mrsinj Grad fortification. From the ruins, there are views across Korenica, Gola Plješevica and northern Croatia.

The Popolju cycling route leads through the Koreničko polje, follows the Matica stream to its point of disappearance underground and returns via Gradina Korenička. The Oko Mrsinja MTB route circles Mrsinj and runs through the Krbavica Valley. Along the way, it passes Vrelo Matice as well as fields and meadows around Mrsinj.

The Obroncima Plješivice cycling route follows the slopes of Lička Plješevica and offers views of Korenica, Bjelopolje and the Plješavica summit.

Astronomsko društvo Korenica was founded on Valentine's Day in 2003 to popularize astronomy. It works with children and adults. Visitors can meet its members and enjoy astronomical attractions.

The AB maraton Plitvice is traditionally held in Korenica in June.

Šapina Restaurant serves traditional dishes from the Lika region.

Korenica can be reached via the D52 from the direction of Otočac. Bus services operate on the D429, connecting inland Croatia with the coast, while Likaline provides local bus services throughout Lika-Senj County.
