Stolac: Hotels and Accommodations

Geographical Location
The protected natural heritage in the Senj area includes Velebit Nature Park and Northern Velebit National Park. The paved road to Žukalj and Stolac branches off the Senj–Vratnik road below Majorija.

On the official cycling map for the Vratnik–Oltari route, Stolac is marked as a waypoint at an elevation of 867 meters between Vratnik and Oltari. The route covers 14.8 kilometers, is classified as moderately difficult, and has an elevation difference of 256 meters. The surface consists of 57 percent gravel and 43 percent asphalt.

Hiking and Elevations
Jadićeva plan is a 1,416-meter-high hill on Senjsko bilo. Its upper section is forested, while the summit is rocky; there is no view from the summit. At the same time, Jadićeva plan is a checkpoint on the Senjska obilaznica.
Part of the Via Dinarica HR-W-09 Senjsko bilo route follows the Senj Hiking Tour, maintained by mountaineers from Senj. After about one kilometer, this hiking route reaches the road toward Stolac and Žukalj.
Nature
The Liskovac viewpoint is connected to hiking and cycling trails and lies at approximately 850 meters above sea level. It has benches, tables, bicycle racks, an information board, a telescope, and an access road. The view extends toward the Kvarner, the islands, and eastern Istria.
Velebit is described as biologically and geologically diverse. Velebit is home to numerous strictly protected plant and animal species.
Culture
In June 2015, Petrove was celebrated in Stolac. Locals, people born there who had since moved away, and pilgrims came together for the occasion. The celebration included a mass in the Chapel of St. Peter and Paul and public festivities on the adjacent meadow.
