Culture and History

The remains of Peršin-grad lie next to the settlement of Gudci and its hamlet of Peršinovec. Peršin-grad was built on the site of a prehistoric hillfort dating from the Late Bronze Age. The prehistoric hillfort near Peršin-grad consisted of four separate, levelled elevations; the southern one was the largest.

The bilingual local chronicle of Gudci is written in standard Croatian and the local Kajkavian dialect. It documents the origins of the locality more than 200 years ago, its development, agriculture, livestock farming, cooking and customs, as well as life in the 20th century.
