History

The Church of St. Martin in Previž was built in the 16th century on the site of an older church that contained a Romanesque chapel from the 13th to 14th century. It was enlarged in 1690 and restored in 1990.

Previž has a documented Glagolitic tradition. An inscription by the priest Ivan Bubić from 1588 was engraved on a late Gothic gilded silver chalice. Dvigrad Castle is located in the wider regional area around Previž.
