The official cycle route “12 The Three Istrian Musketeers” passes through Kostanjica. The route is 43.4 kilometres long and classified as difficult.

Cycling

The Parenzana cycle route also passes through the Kostanjica tunnel, which is 69.9 metres long. In 2018, the tunnel was equipped with solar-powered lighting to make it easier to pass through by bicycle. The Zigante Duvilio winery in Kostanjica is recommended as an enogastronomic stop along the Parenzana.

Culture

The parish church in Kostanjica has a cruciform floor plan and is richly decorated inside. Kostanjica’s Church of St Stephen contains part of a wooden altar from the Church of St Anthony. The patron saint’s feast day of the parish church is celebrated annually on 29 June.

Paths and Spiritual Heritage

The Parish Church of St Peter and Paul in Kostanjica is the second stop on an eight-part route of sacred heritage through the area around Grožnjan. This route is offered as one-day and two-day hiking tours, as well as a one-day cycling tour.

Wine and Landscape

Vina Dešković is associated with a 16-hectare vineyard, offers olive oil from its own production, and has a tasting room with a capacity for 30 people.

Vina Zigante states that it continues an 80-year winemaking tradition. The Zigante family describes itself as one of the local wine producers in the area around Kostanjica.
