Festivals and Cuisine

Fužijada is a culinary festival in Kanfanar celebrating fuži, a traditional Istrian pasta; dishes featuring fuži with various sauces are offered there. The Dvigrad Blues Festival included a gastronomic program as well as biodynamic or organic wines from Istrian winemakers.

Jakovlja is a traditional celebration in Kanfanar associated with the last weekend in July. At Jakovlja, visitors were welcome to try an age-old ploughing method using Istrian oxen.
