The Aurania Trail connects the former watch post in Vranja with Boljun Castle. In 2023, the castle hosted the 17th edition of the traditional music gathering “Zasopimo i zakantajmo po stare užance”.

Culture and history

The Učka–Vranja–Boljun–Paz–Pazin road was built in the 18th century and is known as the Istrian Jozefina. Boljun's bell tower is considered one of the oldest in Istria due to a Latin inscription dating from 1645.
