Cycling

Ženodraga is located along the official 50-kilometre Trail of St. Lovreč Capitans cycling route from Poreč. The route uses country roads and forest paths, then continues towards Baderna and Sveti Lovreč, is classified as moderately difficult and takes approximately four to five hours. The official Po rubu Poreštine (104) mountain biking route reaches Ženodraga via forest paths and then continues to Baderna. It is 48 kilometres long and can be ridden with gravel or cross bikes. The official MTB route 141 Maximus Agri also runs through Ženodraga.

Culture and History

The Parenzana trail for pedestrians and cyclists has an underpass in Ženodraga. The historic Parenzana railway connected Poreč and Trieste; since 2002, the Parenzana route has been equipped with directional signs for cyclists and pedestrians.

Local oral stories are associated with the unusual name Ženodraga. They connect it with the historical family name Zenandrago and report that a priest was the last descendant of this family.

Wine and Landscape

The Peršurić family winery has been located in Ženodraga for hundreds of years. The Peršurić family's vineyards cover around 15 hectares of deep-red soil at an altitude of 120 metres above sea level.

The area surrounding Ženodraga includes Dvigrad Castle, Gruja Vrh, Otočić Sveti Nikola, the Euphrasian Basilica and Otočić Fržital. Sveti Ivan is located near Ženodraga. Soardo-Bembo Palace and Škaraba are situated in the wider regional area.
