Rudine: Hotels and Accommodation
Located directly next to Rudine and above Slivanjska Bay, Biserujka Cave is set up for tourist visits. The 110-metre-long karst formation is rich in stalactites and stalagmites. When planning a trip, many people also wonder which hotel they would like to book in Rudine.
Nature and Trails
An educational trail connects Biserujka Cave with Slivanjska Bay. The easy walk takes about 30 minutes and uses five information panels. The beach at Slivanjska Bay can be reached by bicycle or on foot.
The Biserujka Trail is a 17-kilometre hiking route along the Omišalj–Rudine–Omišalj route. It passes through low vegetation and along dry-stone walls. The Omišalj–Mirine–Rudine–Omišalj route also passes by Biserujka Cave.
The Camino Krk pilgrimage route passes through Rudine in the municipality of Dobrinj. Its fourth daily stage covers 21.4 kilometres from Omišalj to Čižići.
Village Character and History
Rudine has well-preserved village architecture associated with the former lives of farmers and fishermen. Biserujka Cave began attracting tourists as early as the 19th century.
The remains of Rudine’s historic harbour can be found at Slivanjska Bay.
