Čabar: Hotels and Accommodations

Culture

Zrinski Castle, as well as the parish church of Saint Anthony of Padua with its Stations of the Cross, are classified as protected cultural heritage sites in Čabar. The Čabarski language is also recognized as protected cultural heritage in Croatia.

Nature

The Čabranka springs from steep rocks near Veliki Obrh, about a fifteen-minute walk from the center of Čabar. Waterfalls and rapids lie along its course; the river has been recognized as a protected area since 1961.

Hiking and Trails

The Tropetarska-Stijena route is a short, challenging circular trail in the mountains. It leads through lush vegetation and varied terrain and offers panoramic views of the surrounding settlements, the center of Čabar, Risnjak, and the hills of neighboring Slovenia. The easiest way to reach it is via the Parg–Čabar road, by a sign bearing its name. Near the upper part of the trail stands a shelter with a table, benches, and an information board.

The source of the Čabranka can be reached via an asphalt road followed by a short marked forest path. Its source area offers opportunities for sport fishing; kayaking is designated as an activity on the Čabranka. The Bridge of Love stands above the source.
