MTB Stage E5 runs from Tršće to Crni Lug via Farjev Laz, Lividraga, and Gerovo. It is classified as difficult and covers 46.4 kilometers. On the way to Gerovo, the stage passes through deep forest areas and along long gravel sections.

Culture and History

The parish church of Saint Hermagoras and Fortunatus in Gerovo dates from 1842. Gerovo was first recorded under the name Gerona in 1028. Near Gerovo, the pilgrimage church of Majke Božje Svetogorske displays predominantly Baroque stylistic features. The church preserves layers of Baroque and Historicist fresco painting.

Traditions and Events

The Svetogorsko proštenje 2024 was listed as a traditional pilgrimage to Sveta Gora in connection with Mary's birthday; Gerovo was named as the venue. The Vatromajske igre 2026 took place in Gerovo and included sports and recreational firefighter competitions, skill games, and socializing.
