Anyone wishing to book a hotel in Donja Višnjica can continue searching for accommodation afterward. The Baroque parish church was built between 1640 and 1666 and expanded with the chapels of Saint Joseph and Saint Valentine, giving it a cruciform layout. Inside are Baroque altars; next to the parish house stands a stone statue of Saint John Nepomuk from the 17th century. The paintings in the sanctuary, dating from 1756 to 1768, are attributed to the workshop of the Slovenian painter A. J. Lerchinger.

In the immediate surroundings of Donja Višnjica are the Sutinska Valley and Mačkova špilja near Goranec; their archaeological layers range from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages. The Kukelj site is also located on Ravna gora, a difficult-to-access hillfort with remains dating from the Late Bronze Age to Antiquity.

A Marian pilgrimage hiking trail begins at the parish church in Donja Višnjica and initially descends toward Žarovnica. It runs through the wooded gorge of the Sutinska stream, passes Sutinsko vrelo, and then climbs toward the Gospa Snježna chapel on Jelenac Hill.
