The Baroque parish church was built between 1640 and 1666 and expanded with the chapels of Saint Joseph and Saint Valentine, giving it a cruciform layout. Inside are Baroque altars; next to the parish house stands a stone statue of Saint John Nepomuk from the 17th century. The paintings in the sanctuary, dating from 1756 to 1768, are attributed to the workshop of the Slovenian painter A. J. Lerchinger.

In the immediate surroundings of Donja Višnjica are the Sutinska Valley and Mačkova špilja near Goranec; their archaeological layers range from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages.
