Culture and History

The parish church of St Martin was built in 1898 from hewn local stone. The present parish church of St Martin is the third parish church in Donji Dolac; the first parish church of St Martin is recorded in documents from 1482. Donji Dolac is associated with the preventively protected sacred complex surrounding St Martin's Church, registered under the designation P-2346.

Several chapels are also part of the area's sacred history. St Roko Chapel was built in 1762 on the site of an older chapel and is located above the road on Sutiska Hill. St Jure Chapel in the Gorica field near Latkovići dates from the 17th century. The Chapel of the Immaculate Conception in Braovići or Podkamen already existed in 1745. St Luke's Chapel in Osoje was built in the late 19th or early 20th century on the site of an older chapel.

Landscape and Paths

The parish area of Donji Dolac is centered on a small field in the hinterland. The Težačka staza Donji Dolac–Gata is a path under preventive protection and registered under the designation P-5641.

As part of the restoration of the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception in 1997, a path of approximately 800 metres was created leading to it.

River Area

A riverside bathing area is planned along the Cetina in Donji Dolac. The plan provides for supporting facilities and mentions the possible adaptation of existing mills for bathing use.
