Trnbusi lies on the northern slopes of Mosor. The village is situated between Srijane-Dolac Gornji to the west and Blato to the east. Those wishing to book a hotel in Trnbusi can continue their accommodation search afterwards.

Culture

The new parish church of St Luke the Evangelist stands on the road in the centre of Trnbusi and was built from 1907 to 1912. It is constructed from finely hewn stone.

The old parish church of St Luke stands in the western part of the parish. It is considered a 16th-century building erected on an earlier sacred site. After the construction of the new parish church, it became the cemetery church; it also has a bell tower with one bell.

The protected rural ensemble of Trnbusi (Rodići) is listed under cultural heritage code Z-6694. In the Middle Ages, Trnbusi belonged to the Poljica Katun of Gornji Dolac, which was also called Gornje Polje.

Next to St Luke's Church, the stećci are interpreted as possible battle scenes; they probably date from the late 14th or early 15th century.

Things to do

A jeep safari visits Trnbusi and organises a barbecue in the old village below Mosor. Through an off-road excursion, the jeep safari also presents the architecture of old Dalmatian villages and traditional ways of life.

Regional Cuisine

The traditional Poljica soparnik is associated with the wider Omiš area and is included in Croatia's official list of intangible cultural heritage. OPG Ante Šarić at the address Trbusi 34 is registered as a certified soparnik producer.
