Slime is located at the upper end of a gentle valley formed by the Cetina Canyon; those wishing to book a hotel in Slime can then continue their accommodation search.

Culture
The Church of St. John the Baptist in Slime is listed in Croatia’s national register of cultural heritage as a protected cultural asset under the designation Z-5357. In its present form, it was built in 1786 on the site of an older, smaller church. The church is a single-nave building with an apse facing east.
Slime is the birthplace of the Croatian writer Josip Pupačić. Ivanjske Večeri Slime 2024 was a cultural event with music and a stage program organized by KUD Slime. The 20th anniversary of Večer dalmatinskih klapa was scheduled as part of Ivanjske Večeri in front of the church in Slimene. The 33rd edition of Tjedan Josipa Pupačića included a visit to Pupačićevo Slime.
History
Slime was first mentioned in 1382 as a village belonging to the large parish of Radobilja. In 1684, Slime was liberated from Ottoman rule and formally came under Venetian rule through the Treaty of Karlowitz in 1699.
Cycling
After Kučići and Vukosavići, the route climbs toward Slimeno for 3 km on stage 3 of the Split–Makarska cycling route; from Slimeno, this stage offers views toward Zadvarje and the fields.
