The climbing area of DraÅ¡nice has 22 routes of varying difficulty. The lowest climbing route starts at an elevation of 300 m, with a view over Klokun Bay.

Culture and History

Drašnice is first mentioned in a Turkish document from 1523. Medieval stećci and the remains of Roman sarcophagi bear witness to the earlier settlement of Drašnice. Material cultural remains in Drašnice have been dated to more than 8,000 years ago.

The Church of Saint George and the Immaculate Conception in Kraj was built from 1971 to 1976 on the foundations of an older church. It contains an 18th-century oil painting on a wooden panel depicting the Madonna and Child. The cemetery surrounding the church includes a medieval stećci necropolis and Roman sarcophagi; these are under state protection.

The old parish Church of Saint George in Selo is a single-nave stone building from 1891. Its roof and bell gable were restored in 2001. The Chapel of Saint Stephen on Kolednik was built in 1466 and is now preserved as a ruin.
