Vranjic is home to archaeological settlement remains dating from prehistoric and Roman times. The Roman-era remains include a port, stone monuments, inscriptions, funerary steles, and architectural fragments. In the Crikvine area, there are remains of an Early Christian basilica from the 5th or 6th century with a cemetery, as well as possibly the remains of a contemporaneous monastery.
The parish church of St. Martin in Vranjic was restored in 1729 and rebuilt and extended in 1915 and 1928. It contains frescoes by J. Kljaković and V. Parać.
