Nature

The municipality of Starigrad includes part of Paklenica National Park, a 95 km² protected mountain landscape on the southern slopes of the Velebit mountain range. The landscape includes the deeply incised Velika Paklenica and Mala Paklenica gorges.

The Paklenica climbing area comprises around 600 equipped routes on carbonate rock. The difficulty levels range from 3 to 8b+. Thanks to its proximity to the sea, climbing can be combined with water sports.
