History

In 1897, a factory producing absorbent cotton was established at the Čtyřkolský Mill. Three wheels and a fourth stamping mechanism are documented for the Čtyřkolský Mill on the Sázava.

Transport and crossings

The Praha Vršovice–Čerčany section of the Praha–České Budějovice railway line opened on 14 December 1871. The Čtyřkoly railway stop was established on the line in 1994. The Bailey bridge in Čtyřkoly still serves as a crossing; apart from a concrete support, its structure has remained unchanged.

Activities

The Čtyřkolák equestrian centre offers riding lessons for adult beginners and advanced riders. At the Čtyřkolák equestrian centre, children can learn to ride and how to handle horses. The Čtyřkoly weir is accessible from the left bank and is classified as a safe weir.
