Čerčany combines a town on the Sázava with historic buildings, regional landscapes, and specific opportunities for water tours and cycling tours.

Culture

In Vysoká Lhota, the settlement has been part of Čerčany since 1960. The protected Zámeček monument is located there; it was first mentioned in writing in 1358. The Zámeček grounds are privately owned.

Husův sbor is a Hussite church on a hill above Čerčany. It was ceremonially opened on July 20, 1952, after thirteen years of intensive work. Husův sbor is the work of the architect Truksa, a representative of Functionalism.

The mill in Čerčany has been mentioned since 1648. It was formerly called Spálenský and later Vávrův, after its new owner. In the wider regional surroundings of Čerčany, there are also Práče Fort and the Loreta Church.

Čerčany lies on the Sázava. The “Čerčany – u tenisových kurtů” point on this river is a launch and landing point for water tourism and paddling.
