Sports and Recreation

The public sports facility in Jíloviště includes a workout area, a children's playground, a pump track, an artificially constructed playing field for small-sided football and tennis, a loop trail, parking spaces, and a grass area. It is open from April to October; under favorable conditions, it may also be open in winter. The facility is freely accessible. Admission to the artificial multi-purpose playing field is subject to a fee, which can be paid through the municipality's online payment system.

Culture and History

Jíloviště was located along one of the main roads of the Kingdom of Bohemia, the historic Golden Road. Merchants, marching armies, and processions traveled along it. The Zbraslav–Jíloviště hill climb is now continued as a two-day gathering of historic vehicles. Visitors can enjoy vehicle exhibitions, practice and competition hill-climb runs, an orienteering drive, and a social music evening; admission is free. A Catholic Mass is scheduled for May 2026 in the Chapel-Belfry of St. Florian in Jíloviště. Karlštejn Castle is located in the vicinity of Jíloviště. The wider surrounding region also includes the Palác Kinských palace, “The Golz-Kinsky Palace,” and the Rudolfinum Gallery Museum.

Jíloviště is considered one of the starting points for tourism in Podbrdsko. Route 4, “Along the Royal Trail,” begins at the intersection near the Jíloviště municipal office and follows the red-marked cycle path toward Černolice. The hike from Jíloviště via the Černolické skály can follow an 11-kilometer route to Všenory or continue for 17 kilometers to Dobřichovice. It is mostly flat and passes through a natural environment.

Vršky Hill [Klínec] is located in the vicinity of Jíloviště, as is Babka Hill [Černošice]. Doutnáč Mountain is located in the vicinity of Jíloviště. The wider surrounding region includes Veslařský ostrov Island.
