Petrovice II: Hotels and Accommodations

On the outskirts of Petrovice II, in the direction of Uhlířské Janovice, stands the Church of St. Martin, dating from 1350. The building is early Gothic; the vaulting of the presbytery from 1544 has also been preserved inside the church.

Striking traces of the past can also be found away from the church. The deep cellars beneath Farmhouse No. 1 are important evidence of the former fortress of Petrovice II. The site of the Stará Huť glassworks in Petrovice II is classified as a significant archaeological site. The foundations of the production hall, measuring 14.7 × 13 meters, have been preserved there, as has the stone structure of the cooling furnace, standing nearly two meters high.

The cemetery is home to a wooden bell tower that has been repaired several times. According to an inscription on its base, it dates back to 1659.

Petrovice II and the adjacent settlements are located in a heavily wooded area, used primarily by owners of weekend houses and vacation homes for recreation.

The observation tower in Petrovice II was built by Český Mobil in 2004 as a transmission mast. Its main observation balcony is located at a height of 30 meters and can be reached via 158 spiral staircase steps. The observation tower was opened to the public in spring 2005.
