Culture and history

The Church of St. Adalbert in Sluhy is a protected cultural monument and is distinguished by unusual arcades around its chancel. The church has Romanesque origins, was rebuilt in the Gothic style in 1270, and acquired its present appearance, with chapel-like niches, during a late Baroque renovation in the 18th century.

The Baroque prismatic bell tower is one of the immovable cultural monuments in Sluhy. The stone prismatic bell tower near the Church of St. Adalbert has four windows and dates from the 16th century. The church complex also includes a single-storey rectory with a square floor plan, built in 1780.

The Služský mlýn was originally a manorial mill founded by Jan Janda before 1573 and now serves as a residential building. Another historic landmark stands in a park: the monument to the victims of the First and Second World Wars.

Landscape

The Mratínský potok and a pond lie on the southern edge of Sluhy. Chalk sandstone rocks emerge at the first houses of the village; this is where the rocks are highest and there is a small cave.
