Hovorčovice: Hotels and Accommodation

Culture

The Church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist is an early Gothic cultural monument dating from the last quarter of the 13th century and was later remodelled in the Baroque style. Its complex includes an enclosing wall with a gate, as well as an adjoining northern and southern chapel. The northern chapel has an altar mensa; the interior of the southern chapel is empty and has a plank floor. The church complex lies approximately in the centre of Hovorčovice, in an enclosed area bounded by a historic road.

The medieval and modern-era centre of Hovorčovice is an archaeological area with confirmed or reasonably presumed archaeological finds. The monument to the victims of the First World War stands in a small park on Nádražní Street near the church.
