Teptin: Hotels and accommodations

Teptin is a place where the Ringhoffer Mausoleum, historic churches and a richly varied landscape within the municipality of Kamenice come together.

Culture and history

The Ringhoffer Mausoleum was built between 1889 and 1893 to a design by the renowned architect Jiří Stibral and combines Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Gothic forms. The architecturally and sculpturally valuable building is located in a wooded landscape below Zaječí vrch and is connected to Kamenice Castle by an avenue.

The Ringhoffer Mausoleum is closed to the public and can only be viewed through the gate or on special occasions when the gate is opened.

Kamenice Castle was rebuilt between 1875 and 1880 in the English Neo-Gothic style on the site of the original castle. It is currently not open to the public.

The Church of St. Francis Seraphicus is an originally Early Gothic church building, later remodelled in the Baroque style, in the cadastral area of Těptín in the municipality of Kamenice. It contains a tomb of Archbishop Salm in the Empire style. In the park southwest of the church stands a stone cross erected in 1810 at the expense of Archbishop Salm.

St. Francis of Assisi in Kamenice-Těptín was built in the Early Gothic style. The chapel in the cemetery in Těptín is listed in the cadastral area of Těptín as a monument of the chapel type.

Nature and landscape

Kamenice lies on the edge of the contiguous Hornopožárské lesy forest area. Within the municipality, the landscape is richly varied, with characteristic valleys along watercourses and numerous ponds, including Štiřínský, Struhařovský, Mlýnský and Dvorský rybník. Almost half of the municipality consists of forest.

Sports and leisure

The municipality of Kamenice offers suitable terrain for hiking and cycling.

Swimming, golf, mini-golf and tennis are available as sports and leisure activities within the municipality of Kamenice.
