The large Brdy forest complex extends north and west of Vranovice. The Třemšín Nature Park is located on the southern edge of the Brdy. The location in the Brdy offers opportunities for interesting excursions on foot and by bicycle. One specific cycling connection is cycle route 2273, which runs for 20.2 km from Trokavec to Vranovice.
History
The Melichárek castle site is an immovable cultural monument with archaeological traces of a fortification. The medieval castle site, dating from the 13th to the 15th century, now survives only as its central mound; the ditches have since been filled in.
The Vranovická hůrka castle site is located on a lightly wooded elevation in the fields about 500 m northwest of the edge of Vranovice. The low perimeter ramparts are best seen from the north.
On site
The public swimming pool was originally a fire-water reservoir and was ceremonially opened to the public in 1975. A stone mill wheel was placed on the dam of the swimming pool as a memorial. The chapel contains a Baroque statue of Saint Anne dating from the late 18th century.
