Gossengrün: Cultural Traces and Route in Krajková

The Church of St. Peter and Paul, “Kostel sv. Petra a Pavla,” in Krajková has Gothic origins. It was renovated in the Renaissance style in the 16th century and received a new tower in the 19th century. The first written mention of the church dates from 1357. The last documented reconstruction took place in 1996–1997.

The local history of lace-making is also one of the subjects passed down through the generations. The tradition developed after the decline of mining and is reflected in the present-day name of the place. The connection between craftsmanship, mining history and preserved buildings offers a different perspective from looking at the church and its works of art.
