The mining colony was built in 1921 for the miners of the Köstner mine, which was later called Jiří. In Lomnice, it consists of houses with mansard roofs arranged in a horseshoe shape around a central courtyard.

The Church of St. Giles in Lomnice dates back to the 13th century and combines Gothic, Renaissance and Empire styles. The preserved roof structure consists of three parts and is considered the oldest identified roof structure in the Karlovy Vary Region outside the city of Cheb and the Cheb region.

The plague column is a remnant of an early Baroque granite column from 1681, erected in memory of the victims of the plague epidemic of 1633; its upper section has been destroyed.

The war memorial of Lomnice and Týn was ceremonially unveiled on 14 July 1920 below the Church of St. Giles. In 1937, it was moved to a park on the village square in front of the old school building.

The Lomnické pinky sinkholes south of Lomnice were shaped by subsidence caused by deep mining and create diverse habitats with different microclimates.

For the traditional pilgrimage of St. Giles, announced in Lomnice for Saturday, 30 August 2025, a music programme, attractions, refreshments and a concluding fireworks display were planned.

Sport in Lomnice is organised by TJ Lomnice, with departments for football, ten-pin bowling, table tennis and nohejbal.

Road No. 210 connects Lomnice with the nearby E48, which runs from Cheb via Karlovy Vary and onwards to Prague.
