History and Culture
The Chapel of St. Anne stands in the eastern part of the village square in the center of the village of Vrbice. It was built by the municipality in 1893 without ecclesiastical approval. The Chapel of St. Anne featured a pseudo-Romanesque altar with a painting of St. Anne, as well as sculptures of St. Joachim and St. Joseph. A prismatic bell tower is attached centrally in front of the western entrance façade. The chapel is occasionally used for services.
The pseudo-Slological chapel “Vrbice - kaple” was built in the second half of the 19th century at a crossroads on the right-hand side of the road to Bošov, approximately 300 m south of the village of Vrbice (Gross Fürwitz), on the site of an older cross. Its façade features a three-dimensional blind pointed-arch arcade and folk-style decoration.
