Bystrá Nad Jizerou: Hotels and Accommodation

The hills and slopes of Bystrá nad Jizerou offer beautiful views of the ridges of the KrkonoÅ¡e Mountains as well as JeÅ¡tÄ›d, Kozákov and StrážnÃk. Mount StrážnÃk is also located in the immediate vicinity of Bystrá nad Jizerou. The Tábor, PÅ™ednà Žalý and Zadnà Žalý mountains are also located in the surrounding area.
Getting Around
Cycle route 4174 passes through Bystrá nad Jizerou and connects the Bohemian Paradise with the Krkonoše Mountains. A green-marked hiking trail from Semily via Jilemnice to Vrchlabà also passes through the village.
The Village and Its History
Numerous typical 19th-century foothill cottages have been preserved in Bystrá nad Jizerou. Some of Bystrá nad Jizerou’s traditional cottages are used as holiday homes. The volunteer fire brigade is also part of local cultural life: it was founded in 1893, remains active to this day and participates in local cultural life.
A Historical Detail
The wooden Bysterský Bridge was built in 1922 and connects the main road with the village centre, which is approximately 1.5 kilometres away. The bridge continues to serve its original purpose.
