Roprachtice: Hotels and Accommodation

The U borovice observation tower stands on a hill between Roprachtice and Helkovice. It is 18 metres high and offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding landscape.

Culture and History

The Church of the Holy Trinity in Roprachtice dates back to 1766. Roprachtice was founded in the 13th century as a so-called lán village.

Roprachtice was a filming location for several films, including Krakonošovi lyžníci and Zapomenuté světlo. The larger of the two reconciliation crosses near Kozina in Roprachtice is clearly visible from the road. The smaller of the two stone reconciliation crosses near the former settlement of Kozina in Roprachtice bears the year 1736.

At the Roprachtice Typewriter Museum, visitors can view typewriters made by Underwood and Remington.

Educational Trail and Landscape

The “Vlček, který nekouše” educational trail leads through the history and present day of Roprachtice, with information stations and play elements along the way. It is 3.0 kilometres long; the indicated travel or walking time is one hour, and the elevation gain is 58 metres.

Events

Kosení luk u sv. Jána was announced as a traditional event in Roprachtice in 2025. For the event announced for 2025, the programme was scheduled to begin with a procession from the village green near Janatovy; workshops for children and a performance by the Krkonošský národopisný soubor HORAL were also announced.
