The mining area of Suchá Rudná documents the intensive medieval gold mining in the ore district of Andělská Hora.

Culture

In the centre of Suchá Rudná stands the Chapel of the Holy Trinity with a bell tower. According to the information on the weather vane, it was built in 1796. The chapel regularly hosts Christmas and Easter concerts organised by the Suchá Rudná Beautification Society.

Routes and Trails

The 53-kilometre cycle route 6029 leads from Valšov via Moravskoslezský Kočov, Bruntál, Stará Rudná and Suchá Rudná to the Hvězda saddle, continuing via Vidly to Vrbno pod Pradědem. Cycle route 6069 leads from Pod Šindelnou via Anenská myslivna, Anenský vrch and Andělská Hora to Suchá Rudná. The educational trail “Health and Nature in the Jeseníky Mountains” begins in Suchá Rudná near the Rozcestník hut.

Nature

The Suchá Rudná–Zlatý lom area is one of the two richest habitats of the great crested newt (Triturus cristatus) in the Czech Republic. Vysoká hora [Ludvíkov] is a mountain in the vicinity of Suchá Rudná. Čertova hora is a mountain in the vicinity of Suchá Rudná. Soukenná is a mountain in the vicinity of Suchá Rudná. Winter

The “Okruh kolem myslivny” cross-country skiing loop is connected to the exit station of the Annenberg ski lift area and is suitable for all types of skiers. The yellow Peryho circuit in Suchá Rudná is a training loop intended for the general public for active recreation and testing physical abilities.
